Monday with parents.

Due to dental “appointment”, turned out my mom didn’t even make them, you just need to go in and ta da. So we went there after I woke up at 1 and ate, making that 2 pm. Turned out we were late already because it was already 3.45. The trip was wasted. Blah. It was my first time to HM actually, long corridors, curry smell and Malay perfume, parking basement was like a shopping mall’s but instead of waiting for someone to load things they bought, we waited for a lady to load her mother’s wheelchair.

So mom and I went to shop instead, Cavenzi was our first stop. I’d go shop for clothes and bags but.. Anyway, Cavenzi! The boss was smoking. Bleugh. We chose a coffee table, TV rack and couch. What else. Enjoy and dislike watching mom and the guy bargaining. The prices can drop from RM 100 to 50 eh. Eg. RM 799 coffee table can be deducted to RM 599. Nice deal? How can they just drop it like that. There must be a limit. What if people buy it at 799? My goodness. Adults and their money.

SO. I’ve seen hitz.fm commercials and billboard ads which bugged me for a long time now, I saw it again today and thought I might share why it bugs me. Click.

all lead to chimpanzees getting shot and infants taken off their mother to be sold as pets or to the entertainment industry overseas. And of course every pet dealer and entertainment person will tell you their chimps were bred in country but the papers to prove this can be forged with a wordprocessor. And even if their chimps were born in country, the purchase and sale of infant chimps fuels the pet trade in Africa. And not just with chimps.

I guess it’s nothing, they’ll treat the Orang Utan good right, from the zoo and then they’ll bring it back to the zoo? Why would you use OU as a commercial mascot? Let’s not talk about that since I don’t know much about it. It isn’t funny by the way. I shouldn’t be so hard on them because it’s hard being in radio shows and advertisement.

OKAY. After that we went to pasar malam! Mom bought A LOT of fruits. I don’t think I can finish it! Then went to eat yong tau fu. More like watching my mom eat, was really full. =( Though I did find something! The sauce container. As a person that only ate take away dimsum with packeted and limited sauce, I’m really happy to see this!

After that went to Giant and buy groceries, junk food and such! Cream onion crackers!

That concludes my bad day turned to a not so bad day. HEHEHE.

Well, I just found out about it. Two girls one cup. Haven’t watch it but I bet it’s really disgusting, based on those videos! Don’t think I should go and find/watch it either. A lot of YouTubers are making videos of the reactions when they watch it. haha. Listened to buck’s description.. It’s really disgusting!!

I suck at blogging!

Dreamed for 12 hours or so, don’t really want to get into details but it was about school again. I was at another school this time with a new person beside me and some old classmates. Super weird and someone visited too.

Wanted to change my theme for WordPress.

Went through trouble finding ways to actually change it.

So one way linked to another, from normal Google search such as “downloading wordpress theme” “uploading wordpress theme” to “wordpress theme”. None of those were satisfying until I found a webpage that says I need to use FileZilla to upload the theme file to WordPress, a drag and drop method using FTP (File Transfer Protocol). So I thought hey that should be easy, I just need to download FileZilla and I’m good to go right. I downloaded FileZilla and guess what I did the steps according to the instructions, they worked on YouTube videos and screenshots I’ve seen but not on mine. I tried everything but nothing worked so alright, I’ll just figure another way out. Went to watch more FTP relevant videos. Chris Pirillo’s video helped because as a Internet newbie I don’t have a clue about FTP and etc. So I went to download the software he recommended but it’s the same thing too. Could not connect. Ugh. I don’t know what went wrong.

I gave up because I’m stupid at this sort of things. So I resorted to WP forums and searched for “Themes”. There were people having the same problem too so I was happy to see the replies.

I personally liked wank’s replies.

It depends on a number of variables; what they’re blogging about, how important their blog is to them, and how easy the site is to customise. As blog hosts go, wordpress.com is fairly restrictive in charging for CSS editing and giving no HTML access at all. As a result, it simply doesn’t occur to many new bloggers to wish for more customisation features: they haven’t been on any other hosts and they’re not aware it could even be possible to do more than change their header image or colour.

For what it’s worth, I think wordpress.com have deliberately kept such features to a minimum; partly to minimise the pressure on support but mainly in order to avoid the kind of horrors you see on myspace. They want clean, generic-looking blogs with clean, generic-sounding content. They may make a few dollars on the side from custom CSS but it’s never been pushed anything like as hard as something like domain mapping, because they really don’t want people to personalise their blogs too heavily. The same goes for the restrictions on widgets: they could add more, but some people don’t know when to stop piling stuff in their sidebars and that taints your brand. People do request widgets for popular sites like Last.fm and Twitter, but they are pushed in the direction of displaying RSS feeds from those sites instead. It’s less pressure on support (new widgets rarely display correctly in all themes) and it makes for a more tasteful sidebar.

This policy of not trusting your users to make their own aesthetic decisions works pretty well when it comes to attracting new users, because they are impressed by the site’s aura of professionalism and how smart all the blogs look. But I’d never keep a personal blog here because it’s sort of soulless. Yes, myspace is 90% hideous but at least their users are expressing themselves through their layouts, and I kind of like that.

Yeah it does seem soulless at WordPress here and yes I did get attracted by all of that wank said.

Blogger was good and all but I couldn’t stand some things like when you upload pictures, the pictures that just got uploaded appears up there. I usually type a lot then, post those pictures because I simply forgotten. At WordPress the pictures appear where the text blinker thing stopped. You could simply choose where you want those pictures to appear than to drag it to where you want it to appear like Blogger. I was really surprised by that!

Then I went to change my theme because I found out that dark skins attracts my attention more. XD

No offense but I’ve always been stopped by the idea that dark skins are for emo people. Seriously, most of the dark skins are used by upset people expressing how bad their day is. I’m not judging, everyone has their bad days but it just seems that dark skins are used wrongly. “My emo world”, “Emo kid”, “Dark days” and such. It’s not that my days are perfectly good and happy though, that really reminds me of Stepford Housewives. Then I thought people won’t generalize like I did right? I simply like dark skins and not the idea of dark skins=emo. I admit I have my percentage of emo but not to the extent of saying I am all the time. People who claims they’re emo sometimes don’t even know the meaning of the word like most people suggested. Not saying I do though. Why do you even want to appear/talk as if you’re an emo person? I guess it’s another way to say I’m lonely? Yet it’s a bit hard to say “I’m lonely” so people prefer using emo? I don’t know. Then again when you say I’m lonely people’ll just avoid you? Blah. I am lonely but I’m not going to admit it because there’s nothing you can do to help except giving me a *hug*. Which turns out to be virtual and I can’t feel it at all. I just don’t get why people our age always claim that they’re EMO.

I guess I wasn’t helping by bringing up the issue again.

But I did think about dark skins otherwise now. Just had this thought where the stereotype that dark skins = cool sets in and I don’t want to be a part of it. Yet life is about breaking stereotypes right. SO WHAT IF I’M SHORT AND TINY. I can carry the world on my shoulder okay. XD

I’m really afraid that I’ll be the only suspect when Hubble is killed/died. I’ve said, “I’ll kill you, so shut up.” in front of my parents and the Wed People I think. I’m just making this clear, I’m not going to kill him kill him. Just an expression that he’s really getting on my nerves!
